Even when you are committing to a short excursion, planning is key to a fabulous experience.
That said, if you are considering a road trip with your friends and family, here are some steps to help you plan your road trip with fun and safety.
Road Trip Planners Sleep Well
Wake up to the idea that not only your car needs fuel, but also humans need to recharge their energy prior to the start of any adventure.
Try to sleep at least 7-8 hours before going for a road trip because sitting behind the wheel while drowsy could be excruciating.
Pack your road trip supplies
If you are planning a road trip, make sure you pack some road trip supplies to avoid running out of energy while on the road.
Remember that some road trips requires people to sit behind the wheel for hours on the highway with very limited breaks. Buy some vitamins, healthy food items, and other snacks to keep you active at all times.
According to Men’s Health, the most nutritious portable snacks to get before going for a road trip includes mozzarella string cheese and apple slices, beef jerky, carrot sticks, grapes, and other high-protein food items.
Road trip supplies – bring plenty water
Do not forget to drink some water every time you have the chance to make a stop while on the highway. Water is one of the most important emergency items every driver must have before hitting the road.
Of course, you’ll be demanding more bathroom stops, depending on how much water you are planning on drinking.

Plan a road trip with multiple stops
Many times people feel uncomfortable or even tired of sitting behind the wheel for more than an hour. For that reason, consider a fair number of stops.
Every time you have an opportunity to make a stop, get of your vehicle, stretch a little bit, and enjoy the break until you feel ready to carry on.
Plan a comfortable road trip
Make sure you are sitting up straight by adjusting your seat properly. This adjustment will help you get an optimal blood flow.
Sometimes people feel sore for not sitting properly. Do not let that ruin your adventure and release all that accumulated tension by finding your own comfort. Sit up straight!
Pack some family road trip games
Sometimes you are having a family road trip, where your kids get easily bored and anxious as passengers. That situation may lead to annoyance and fatigue, so bring some books, toys, puzzles, and other fun items to keep them entertained.
Have you ever played “find the license plate”? That game could be fun for kids if you ran out of ideas.

My wife and I are planning our first road trip with our Toddle. She’s 3 and half now so fill of energy. I’m sure we’ll have to pull over a few times but hoping to keep it to a minimum. Does anyone have any tricks to keep her entertained and comfortable for 8-9 hours?
