Ohioan drivers took notice, covering 2022’s turmoil
Last year centered around political drama, supply-chain disruption, recession, inflation, and massive tech layoffs. In fact, the tech industry increased its layoffs by 649% in 2022 — the highest since the dot com bubble according to The Challenger Report. Some Ohio drivers tried to make the best of it all, requesting personalized license plates with “colorful” language.

759 personalized plates rejected in the Buckeye State
If the Ohio BMV deemed vanity plate applications profane, sexually explicit or meant to provoke a violent response, the license plate was rejected. In fact, any inappropriate combination of letters and numbers was denied. From bathroom jokes like “POO BUTT,” to F-bombs, to “SMT A55,” and AF additions like “LATE AF” were rejected in 2022.
