Choose this option if the transfer is occurring between parents, grandparents, children, spouses, minor-aged siblings, or domestic partners. The vehicle will be exempt from smog requirements as well as sales tax.

Choose this option if the vehicle is a gift and no money has been exchanged. A valid smog test no older than 90 days is required but you will be exempt from paying sales tax.
