If you placed an order with eTags, we usually don't get much information on why a payment was not accepted. What we have found to be common issues are:
- A bank assuming a charge is a duplicate - If you have two or more orders for which the total due is the same, one will be successfully charged and the other charge may be rejected because the bank assumes it to be an accidental duplicate charge for the same amount
- If we've done an authorization, or hold, on your card and the actual total comes back higher, your bank may reject the new total even if the difference is only a few dollars based on protections you have set for your account.
